VISIBILITY KIT FOR ETC DAY 2013

 On 19th July 2013, the Photography Contest and Travelling Exhibition entitled “We belong Here: Life, people and nature in the cross-border area” was officially announced, on the occassion of celebrating European Cooperation Day 2013. Photos were submitted in digital format until 4th September 2013. More than 60 residents of both countries sent in 251 entries.

 

 The Programme wished to offer professional photographers and amateur photo enthusiasts, the opportunity to discover new perspectives of the cross-border area and its people and to present through their photographic lens the special character, the natural and cultural heritage and the daily life in the eligible Programme area. Photo entries should have fallen under the following categories; economic development, human resources, sustainable tourism, protection of human life, environment, natural & cultural heritage. 

 

 

Seventy (70) photographs with the highest rank as indicated by the Judging Committee and another 30 photographs, selected by the JTS in the category Honorary Mentions, were exhibited in Edessa (Sisamotriveio Arditsoglou, 20-26 Sept. 2013) and Ohrid (House of Culture "Gligor Prlicev", 7-14 Oct. 2013).

 

The Visibility Kit contains the exhibited photos, video, photos from the Openings of the Exhibition and the prizes awarded.

The competition was judged on creativity, emphasis on cross-border character and photographic quality by a panel of three experts comprised of members of the Managing Authority of ETC Programmes, the Ministry of Local Self Government in the neighboring country and the Joint Technical Secretariat.

The Programme wished to offer professional photographers and amateur photo enthusiasts, the opportunity to discover new perspectives of the cross-border area and its people and to present through their photographic lens the special character, the natural and cultural heritage and the daily life in the eligible Programme area. Photo entries should have fallen under the following categories; economic development, human resources, sustainable tourism, protection of human life, environment, natural & cultural heritage.

The Photo Contest “We belong Here: Life, people and nature in the cross-border area” was officially announced on 19th July 2013 and entries were submitted until 9th September 2013. We want to acknowledge the wonderful art work of all who participated in the Contest.

The competition was judged on creativity, emphasis on cross-border character and  photographic quality by a panel of three experts comprised of members of the Managing Authority of ETC Programmes, the Operating Structure (Ministry of Local Self Government) and the Joint Technical Secretariat.
